ACEP |
The question no longer is "Should coaches
be trained?" but "How should coaches be trained?" The American Sport
Education Program (ASEP) has been offering the answer to this question
since 1981 through the development and implementation of coaching
education courses and resources. ASEP materials have been used to
educate more than one million coaches, officials, sport administrators,
and parents over the past 20-plus years.
To view a listing of ASEP courses, purchase an online courses, or learn
more about ASEP offerings that meet the needs of these distinct sport
audiences, visit the Learn About ASEP's Curricula and Courses section of
our site.
Coaches and officials who successfully complete ASEP courses are listed
on our National Coaches and Officials Registries. These one-stop
resources make it simple for sport administrators to verify coaches' and
officials' qualifications. In addition, individual coaches and officials
can visit their respective registries to verify personal course history
and to print transcripts.
If you're a coach, official, sport administrator, or parent looking for
product information specific to your role, use the appropriate Home Page
button on the left-hand menu to quickly get to where you need to go.
Once you purchase a course, visit your respective home page to access
your courses, take a test, or view your transcript.
If you're a Coaching Principles or Sport First Aid classroom course
instructor, the Instructors' Home Page is where you'll purchase
classroom course packets, submit course report forms, and post your
scheduled courses on the classroom course calendar.
In addition to courses, ASEP publishes and makes available a variety of
books, videos, CD-ROMs, and DVDs geared toward coaches, officials, sport
administrators, and parents. Visit the ASEP Store to view a complete
selection of ASEP resources as well as those of ASEP's parent
organization, Human Kinetics. |
