The question
no longer is "Should coaches be trained?" but "How
should coaches be trained?" The American Sport Education
Program (ASEP) has been offering the answer to this question since
1981 through the development and implementation of coaching education
courses and resources. ASEP materials have been used to educate
more than one million coaches, officials, sport administrators,
and parents over the past 20-plus years.
Coaches and officials who successfully complete ASEP courses are
listed on our National Coaches and Officials Registries. These
one-stop resources make it simple for sport administrators to
verify coaches' and officials' qualifications. In addition, individual
coaches and officials can visit their respective registries to
verify personal course history and to print transcripts.
